Kanye West plans on releasing his seventh album at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Feb 11 after not releasing one since 2013.  West posted a tracklist of the album saying on Twitter, “So happy to be finished with the best album of all time.” The album has been called So Help Me God, Swish, and Waves. Kanye has yet to choose which name is best suited for the album, and the album title could be different from the ones previously mentioned.

There has been so much publicity since he announced the release of this album.  The listening party at the Garden will broadcast in select cinemas around the world, and he will debut his new clothing line Yeezy Season 3. Many people are anxious to hear his upcoming album and are excited about the people that are featured on it. Many popular artists have been rumored to appear on it including two Chicago natives.

All seven of Kanye’s previous albums have gone platinum and many wonder if this album will live up to the hype. Kanye has been looked at as an idol, role model, and to some even a god. Everything he puts his name on from clothing to his musical works sells well.

In an article from Rolling Stone about West they said “there’s been absolutely nothing comparable to West’s level of daring, visibility and impact. That, sadly, looks like it’s coming to an end.”In previous years he has focused less on his music career . Instead he has started a family, has become more relevant in the fashion industry, enjoys producing music,  and has shadowed up and coming young artists. He even has showed interest in running for president of the United States, that was short lived and isn’t talked about as much. Kanye is known as a braggart rapper, and raps about many things like  the racial injustices of America.  He attracts fans from all ethnicities and cultures and they will be sad to see him go.

Fans continue to patiently wait for Feb. 11 and hope that Kanye won’t hold anything back.
